The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, (FAAN), has commissioned a state-of-the-art automated car park at the Domestic Terminal 1, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, in a bid to curb leakages and boost its revenue base.

A statement signed by Henrietta Yakubu, the acting General Manager, Corporate Services of the organization, said that the modern facility is uniquely designed to ensure that parking fees are paid at the payment booth before exiting the car park unlike the past when you pay at entry point.

She said that the facility also has a special billing system which is programmed to give the end user the exact amount for time spent at the parking lots, and that it will automatically eliminate long queues, reduce traffic, speed up passenger and vehicular movements at the landside of the Terminal and ensure seamless facilitation of passengers and airport users.

According to FAAN, this automation will key into President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to transparency in all revenue points of all Federal government Agencies to the Federal Government Treasury Single Account.
