The Managing Editor of Transport Day newspaper, Mr. Frank Kintum, has commended the Federal Government for confirming the appointment of the acting Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Engr. Fidet Okhiria.

The statement added that “Engr. Okhiria is an experienced hand when it comes to railway technology, especially as it is being locally applied, he made a mark when he was District Manager and Director, and he is a good manager of people”.

Kintum, nonetheless, tasked the MD to always maintain his open door policy, and ensure that he carries all stakeholders along as be strives to revamp the hitherto moribund NRC.  The new MD is coming on board at a time when so much is expected from the NRC.
