The 2020 edition of the famous Argungun Motor Rally kicks off today, with frontline auto company, Stallion Motors leading the way as Title Sponsor of the event.
Stallion’s Automobiles Division is part of the Stallion group, and it consists of different companies representing an array of globally renowned automobile brands on an exclusive basis for distribution, sales and after-sales service.
The quality brands being represented by the company are Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, Skoda, Changan and Ashok Leyland. Collectively these brands contribute to over 45% share of the new automobiles market in Nigeria.
Aside distribution of automobiles, the company has also ventured into auto assembling with a modern facility located in Lagos, capable of assembling different brands.
Stallion’s VON assembly plant is the largest auto manufacturing assembly plant in West Africa, boasting of six auto assembly lines for passenger cars, buses and trucks.
With an annual installed capacity of 200,000 units, the facility stands on a 310 acres and a warehouse of 100,000 sqm. The company employs hundreds of employees in the sector and has an investment of over N130b in the auto sector in Nigeria.
As a prelude to the Argungu Motor Rally, Stallion Motors also displayed its prominence with a showcase of the entire range of made in Nigeria vehicles from the brand house of Hyundai, Nissan, Changan and Honda at the Media parade of Made in Nigeria Automobiles at Abuja International Trade and Convention Centre.

The event was witnessed by prominent dignitaries including the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr, Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami; representatives of Ministers of Finance and Federal Capital Territory; the Chairman, House Committee on Industry as well as the Director General of the NADDC, Mr. Jelani Aliyu.
The DG commended Stallion Motors for it unrelenting efforts aimed at promoting locally built vehicles in Nigeria.
For today’s kick off of the rally at eagle Square, Stallion is represented by three popular Nigerian manufactured vehicles namely Hyundai Creta, Nissan NP 300 and Changan CS 35.

Hyundai Creta is the largest selling new car model in Nigeria in the Crossover Segment, with 34% of the total segment share and is tropicalized with generous ground clearance of 190 mm and unmatched five years of warranty.
Stallion Motors also parades the ever robust and sturdy Hardbody Nissan NP300. It is equipped with 2.4l petrol engine.
Being a four wheel drive, it has outstanding off roading capabilities and is the perfect utility vehicle that is equipped with the latest safety features (airbag, Anti-Loc Braking System, Crumble zones etc). It has been outstanding on Nigerian roads over the years.
There is also the Changan CS35, the fastest emerging Mini SUV. It’s a perfect Urban City SUV and has elegantly sculpted surfaces, more cabin space, intuitive advanced technologies, and has grown in popularity in recent times.
